Meet Levi (fka Finn the Heeler).  Levi is slowly coming out of his shell in his foster home in Vero Beach, FL.

Levi is a shy guy and continues to be pretty skittish. Shelter life was hard on him. But now that he's with his foster, he's starting to settle and we're excited to continue to watch him blossom. Levi's foster is taking their time with him, as placing him too soon may undo all the progress that he's had. He's also still considered a flight risk as, though he is a total sweetheart, he is still very fearful in new situations.

Levi is a total sweetheart. He's great with people, and will probably do well with older, considerate children. Though he's fine with other dogs, Levi is not interested in engaging or playing with other dogs, and may do best as an only dog, or with another single, well-balanced dog in teh home. He is crate- & house-trained. Due to his shyness, he will require a fenced yard and close supervision until he's settled into his adoptive home. This sweet, shy, beautiful boy will need some patience and commitment and is looking for his happily ever after.

Levi is approx 37 lbs, up to date on vax, heartworm negative, and has been neutered. He will need an active home and someone who is dog savvy or has heeler experience. We do our best to ensure these handsome beautiful dogs get the best homes with folk that know what the breed is like, or at least are willing to learn.
