Meet Mama. This stunning 1-2 year old Border Collie is being fostered in the Jacksonville area.

The biggest thing to know about Mama? She is a TRUE herder! She loves to chase, nip, and organize her troops. Because of this, Mama needs a home with older children. She gets along fine with other dogs and dog savvy cats, but is more about co-existing than playing with her fur siblings. True to her breed, Mama is a real working dog — she needs a job or she'll create her own. She was recently taken to a Herding Instinct Test and she absolutely blew everyone away with her natural skills and ability. She would enjoy the farm life or a home where herding classes or even competition will be a regular activity. 

Mama was born without one eye, you'd never know it and it doesn't slow her down. She is a sweet & sassy girl, who prefers to be out of her crate whenever possible. She knows how to wind down for the evening and snuggle up for a good movie, too.  Foster mom says she has excellent recall and even knows all of her basic commands. Mama is ready to take the step up to advanced training, and is just waiting for her happily ever after. Could you be the one for her?
