Meet Joe. This  6-month old golden retriever /shepherd mix had a rough start in life, spending his puppyhood in a shelter. He was recently brought into his foster home outside of Jacksonville, and he is thriving! Because he was born in a shelter, he's working on all of his puppy basics and manners (sit, stay, down). He's a great learner, and taking a lot of cuews from the mentor dog in the house and already seems to be crate trained over night and doing great on his house training.

Joe is absolutely stunning. He looks like a golden-colored German Shepherd and has such long legs, everyone who meets him agree he looks like a baby kangaroo (so Joey seems like the perfect nickname!) Joe loves people and dogs. He needs a home with a fenced yard, and another dog in the house so he can continue to learn to be all the good boy he can be! Think you might be the one for Joe?
